Hi,
Let x represent the total amount of the 50% solution.
Then (50L - x) would be the amount of 30% solution
Question states***
.50x + .30(50L - x) = .46*50L
solving for x
.20x = .16*50L
x = 40L of the 50% solution and 10L of the 30% solution
checking our answer
20 + 3 = 23
