using elimination how do u find (x,y and z) using these 3 equations?
3x+2y-z=-1
x+3y-z=-10
2x-y-3z=3
-------------------
Let the 2nd equation be the 1st:
x+3y-z=-10
3x+2y-z=-1
2x-y-3z=3
-------------------
Subtract 3 times 1st from 2nd:
Subtract 2 times 1st from 3rd:
x+3y-z=-10
0x-7y+2Z=29
0x-7y-z=23
------------------
Subtract 2nd from 3rd:
x+3y-z=-10
0x-7y+2Z=29
0x+0y-3z=-6
----------------
Solve the 3rd equation to get z = 2
---
Substitute that into the 2nd to get:
-7y+4 = 29
-7y = 25
y = -25/7
-----------------
Substitute those into the 1st to get:
x = 19/7
