Question 140707: SOLVE BY FACTORING:
x^2-5=4x
I'M VERY CONFUSED BECAUSE THIS IS REVIEWING QUESTIONS AND I CAN'T FIGURE THIS PROBLEM OUT PLEASE HELP??

Answer by jojo14344(1513)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Re-arranging becomes,
x^2-4x-5=0, right?
And it's a perfect square so,
(x-5)(x+1)=0
x=5, and x=-1, cool!
