s + mx = -7
-7s - 2x = -2
Moreover, for this value of m the system of equations:
a. has infinitely many solutions
b. is inconsistent
I've tried to work this problem out but I can't figure it out.

Solve both equations for s:
s=-mx-7 and

s=-%282%2F7%29x%2B2%2F7

In order for there to be no unique solution, the slopes of the two lines must
be identical, that is m+=+-2%2F7. Since the intercept values are different,
the system is inconsistent, that is these are parallel lines that do not intersect.
