2.One side of triangle is three times as long as the shortest side. The other side is 12ft longer than the shortest side of the perimeter is 57ft find the length of each side.
3. Elly invested 1/3 of his money at Philtrust Bank at 7% per annum and the remaining 2/3 in BPI at 7.5% per annum. If it gives an annual income of 8,000 of this two investnent, how much money did Elly have? How much was invested in eac rate?
4. Maurice and Melvin can finish a piece of work together in 20 days. If Maurice can do it alone in 25days. How long will it take Melvin to do the job alone.
5. Sherwin walk 20km and returned immediately by bicycle which travel at the rate of 30km/hr the entire trip required 6 hours. What was his average of walking?

Solve either with substitution method, or if he knows and learning it, elimination method.

Description of the sides is in terms of the shortest side. Description includes perimeter of the triangle.
Let x be length of shortest side.
"One of the sides", 3x.
"The other side", x+12.
Perimeter given as 57 feet.
Solve this; but also check that a triangle with such lengths actually works.
(Yes, they will work.)
