Question 1145834: Elimination using matrices
3p+2r=11
q-7r=4
q-6q=1
I set up my matrix to this
3 2 11
1 -7 4
1 -6 1
But I am using the photomath app to help me through the steps but they have the matrix set up as
3 0 2 11
0 1 -7 4
1 -6 0 1
So right now I am not sure if mine is incorrect.
I have been reading about matrices and the goals but still not sure what I am supposed to be doing. Am I supposed to get a make a number a 0 on each row to be able to solve the equation?

You have to account for p, q and r in each equation.
If one doesn't appear then you need a zero.
Photomath is correct
