Carter has three times as many nickels as quarters
Quarters = q
Nickels = 3q
and three more dimes than nickels.
3q+3
If the total face value of these coins is $3.80, = 380 cents
25q+5*3q+10*(3q+3)=380
25q+15q+30q+30=380
70q=350
q= 5
dimes = (3q+3) = 18
