I have found the first part of the problem by doing y2-y1 over x2-x1 and that gave me -1/5. But I do not understand how to do the rest of the problem and write out the answer.

Question 116206: Driving down a mountain, Tom finds that he has descended 1800 ft. in elevation by the time he is 3.25 mi. horizontally away from the top of the mountain. Find the slope of his descent to the nearest hundredth.
My first two equations I have so far is this: y=3.25x-1800 then y=325/100x-1800
Am I correct on the first two steps to continue?
