Question 431347: Hello- I have a math problem that wants me to write a linear equation... The story problem says that somebody want to the dog store to buy treats for their two dogs. One of the treats are 2.00 and the second treats are 4.50. The lady spent 70.00 total on the treats for a total of 25 treats and it asks me to figure out how many of each that she bought. Originally I had one equation that read: 70.00=2x+4.5y. After trying to solve it and failing I started to wonder if I needed to come up with two seperate equations and I believe that I should also have the number 25 in there too since i'm trying to find out how many of each pieces she bought...
