Question 997505: f(x)=3x-2
Answer by addingup(3677) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I take it you're looking for the derivative?
d/dx(f(x))= d/dx(-2+3x) The derivative of f(x) is f'(x)
f'(x)= d/dx(-2+3x) Factor out the constants
f'(x)= d/dx(-2+)3d/dx(x) The derivative of -2 is 0:
f'(x)=3(d/dx(x))+0 Simplify
f'(x)=3(d/dx(x)) The derivative of x is 1:
f'(x)= 1*3
f'(x)= 3
