P.S. Are constraints just limits to what a variable could be? Like, do they tell you that a variable has to be between for example 0 and 9?

Yes. Constraints are statements about variables
that represent items in the problem description.

Examples::
x >= 0
y >= 0

etc.

A mathematical restraint is just a numeric condition or numeric requirement. Absolutely NO NEED to search for any websites to find out what is a mathematics problem restraint.
