Distribute c and b across the binomial factor. Collect terms with x in the LHS and the rest of the terms in the RHS. Be careful with your signs. Factor x out of the expression in the LHS. Divide both sides by the binomial factor in the LHS.

.
C(x+2)-5= b(x-3)
C(x+2)-b(x-3)-5=0
C(x+2)-b(x-3)=5
Cx+2C-bx+3b=5
Cx-bx=5-2C-3b
x(C-b)=5-2C-3b
