Answer by 6567891151(12)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the formula for finding slope is y sub 2 minus y sub 1 over x sub 2 minus x sub 1 hope you understand the formula
so the slope is -3/5
then pick one to be your first set and the other one is your second set
lets say (1,4) is our second set and (x,1) is our first set
so fill in the formula
4-1 that equal 3
-----
1-x this has to be negative 5 so x = 6
so now
4-1 = 3
------
1-6 = -5
3/-5 is the same as -3/5 so x= 6 is the answer
if you don't really understand you can i guess thank me saying i want a picture explaining and i will send you a picture which might help you get it more easily.
