Question 973877: Find an equation of the line that satisfies the given conditions.through (1/2, -2/3); perpendicular to line 6x-12y=1
Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6x-12y=1
-12y=1-6x
divide by -12
y=(1/2)x - (1/12)
Slope is 1/2
Perpendicular slope is -2
Use point slope formula
y+2/3 = -2 (x-1/2)
y= -2x +1 - (2/3)
y= -2x +(1/3)
