Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
9x^2 - 36x + 36 = 0
I'd still divide out 9
x^2-4x +4= 0
radicand = +/- sqrt (16-16)=-0
Therefore, solution is -b/2a = +2, and it repeats.
2x^2-9x +7=0
(2x-7) (x-1)=0
x=7/2 x=1
3x^2 - 12x + 2 = 0
x= (1/6) * [12 +/- sqrt (144-24)} sqrt (120)= 2 sqrt (30)
x= 2 + (1/3) sqrt (30) ; 2- (1/3) sqrt (30) ;; roots just >0 and just less than 4
