Question 96941: Find the slope of any line perpendicular to the line through points (6, 3) and (7, 7).

Answer by mathslover(157)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
for 2 points with co-ordinates as (x1,y1) and (x2,y2)
the slope is given by y2 - y1 / x2 -x1
Hence the slope of the line with the given points (6,3) and (7,7) is
7-3 / 7-6 = 4
Let the slope of the line perpendicular to it be m
Now since the product of the slope of a line and the slope of its perpendicular is -1
=> m* 4 =-1
Hence, m = -1/4
