find the x intercept in the following equation: x^2-2x=1?
x^2-2x-1=0
x=[2+-sqrt(4-4*-1)]/2
x = [2 +- 2sqrt(2)]/2
x = 1 +- sqrt2
x = 1+sqrt2 (one of the x-intercepts)
x = 1-sqrt2 (the other x-intercept)
