Question 949413: Derive the inverse of the function, F-1 of f(x) = 7x + 2
Answer by rothauserc(4718) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y = 7x + 2
solve for x
7x = (y - 2)
divide both sides of = by 7
x = (y - 2) / 7
now switch x's and y's
y = (x - 2) / 7
therefore
f inverse of f(x) = (x - 2) / 7
