Question 945568: Determine if the following pairs of lines are Parallel, Perpendicular, or Neither. 20) y = −2x + 3 & y = −2x−1
Please show me how to solve

Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The slope of y = -2x+3 is m = -2 (the slope is the number in front of the x)

The slope of y = -2x-1 is m = -2

The two slopes are both equal (to -2). So we have 2 parallel lines because the y-intercepts are different for the two lines.
