Equation of a line when you have two points (X1,Y1) and (X2,Y2) is
y-Y1 = {(Y2-Y1)/(X2-X1)}(X2-X1)
You will notice that both points satisfy the equation which means that the points lie on the line otherwise they wouldnt satisfy the equation.
