Question 9270: 1/3(x-4)=1/2(x-6)
Answer by bonster(299) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
= ............multiply both sides by 6
(6)=(6) ...................reduce
= ............use the distributive property
2x-(2)(4)=3x-(3)(6)
2x-8=3x-18 ............subtract 2x from both sides
(2x-8)-2x=(3x-18)-2x
-8=x-18 .........................add 18 to both sides
-8+18=x-18+18
10=x
