Answer by persian52(161) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
10(2x+3)−8(3x−5)+5(2x−8)=0
Multiply 10 by each term inside the parentheses.
20x+30−8(3x−5)+5(2x−8)=0
Multiply −8 by each term inside the parentheses.
20x+30+40−24x+5(2x−8)=0
Multiply 5 by each term inside the parentheses.
20x+30+40−24x+10x−40=0
Combine all similar terms in the polynomial 20x+30+40−24x+10x−40.
6x+30=0
Since 30 does not contain the variable to solve for, move it to the right-hand side of the equation by subtracting 30 from both sides.
6x=−30
Divide each term in the equation by 6.
x=−5
