Now move your pencil 3 units to the right
We move 3 units in this direction since the x-coordinate is 3 (its the first number of the pair)





Now go 5 units down
We move 5 units in this direction since the y-coordinate is -5 (its the second number of the pair)




Plot a point where the pencil lands



So here is the point (3,-5)
