The area of a pool is 96. The length is 10 feet more than the width. Find the width.

w= width
w+10= length
w(w+10)=96
w^2+10w-96
use Mathway to factor this out: https://mathway.com
You get ---> (w+16)(w-6) so the solutions are -16 and 6.
It is impossible to have a width of -6 so 16 is your width.
