Question 869850: Can someone help me graph this?
Graph y=(-3/5)x+1

Answer by LinnW(1048)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If x = 0 , y = 1
This is the point (0,1)
Since the slope is -3/5 , pick some x values
that are divisible by 5.
Pick x = 5 for example.
Substitute 5 for x in y=(-3/5)x+1
y = (-3/5)(5)+1
y = (-3)+1
y = -2
Now we have the point (5,-2)
Now try x = 10
Substitute 5 for x in y=(-3/5)x+1
y = (-3/5)(10)+1
y = (-6)+1
y = -5
Now we have the point (10,-5)
****************
Finally plot the three points, (0,1) (5,-2) (10,-5)
