Question 86596: find the slope of any line perpendicular to the line through points (0,5) and (-3,-4)
Answer by Flake(45) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The solution is to find the negative reciprocal.
----Step#1: find slop of line through points (0,5) and (-3,-4)
1st: plot points (0,5) and (-3,-4). You will notice that the line moves up from (-3,-4) to (0,5)
2nd: Slope = Rise/Run = (5-(-4)) / (0-(-3)) = 9/3 = 3
----Step#2: find the negative reciprocal.
Negative reciprocal = -1/3
