Answer by psbhowmick(878)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2(x - 3) - 3(x + 5) = 3(x - 2) - 7
2x - 6 - 3x - 15 = 3x - 6 - 7
-x - 21 = 3x - 13
13 - 21 = 3x + x
4x = -8
x = -2

Answer by ptaylor(2198)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2(x-3)-3(x+5)=3(x-2)-7 First, lets get rid of the parens (remember: a(b+c)=ab+ac)
2x-6-3x-15=3x-6-7 we can simplify this now by collecting like terms on each side of the equation as follows:
-x-21=3x-13 subtract 3x from and add 21 to both sides of the equation. This will get the unknowns on one side and the numbers on the other:
-x-21+21-3x=3x-3x-13+21 collect like terms
-4x=8 divide both sides by -4
x=-2----------ans
CK
2(-2-3)-3(-2+5)=3(-2-2)-7
-10-9=-12-7
-19=-19
Hope this helps-----------------------ptaylor

Answer by jenna1026(3)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2(x - 3) - 3(x + 5) = 3(x - 2) - 7
2x - 6 - 3x - 15 = 3x - 6 - 7
-x - 21 = 3x – 13
-x-21+21-3x=3x-3x-13+21
-4x = 8
-4x/-4=8/-4

ANSWER X = -2
