Question 86059: The electricity costs of a business decreased from $12,000
one year to $10,920 the next. What is the rate of decrease?

Answer by dolly(163)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Original cost of electricity = $12000
Present cost of electricity = $10920
Decrease = 12000 - 10920
= $180
Rate of decrease = decrease/original * 100
= (180/12000)* 100
= 3/2
= 1.5%
