Question 847083: Hey guys , i need help with this question....i am totally stuck. the question is related to revennue, cost break even analysis questions.....
A manufacturer is interested in introducing the robotics technology into one of its production processes. The process is one which would provide a hostile environment for humans. To be more specific, the process involves exposure to ex-tremely high temperatures as well as to potentiallly toxic fumes. Two robots which appear to have the capabilities for executing the fucntions of the production process have been identified. There appear to be no significant difference in the speeds at which of two models work.On robot costs $180,000 and has estimated maintainance costs of $100 per hour of operation. The second type of robot costs estimated at 80$ per hour of operation.
a)At what level of operation [total production hours] are the two robots equally costly?
b)define the levels of operation for which each robot would be less costly....

Find when
Since we start time at t=0, R1 will always be greater than R2.
There is no breakeven point.
b) R2 is always less costly.
