Answer by tutorcecilia(2152)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Slope=m=(y1-y2)/(x1-x2) [the formula for the slope of a line]
m=(0-(-5)/(0-(-6) [plug-in the values and solve for the slope of the line.]
m=5/6
.
(y-y1)=m(x-x1) [the point-slope equation of a line]
(y-(-5))=(5/6)(x-(-6)) [pick one point and plug-in the values]
y+5=(5/6)(x+6)[multiply using the distributive property]
y+5=5/6x+ (5/6)(6/1) [simplify]
y+5=5/6x+5 [this is the point-slope form]
