Hi,

3x+4y=14

2x-3y=-19 



9x+12y=42

8x-12y=-76

  17x = -34

    x = -2   |Always recommend caution with 'signs'

Using: 3x+4y=14 to find y  (either of the original EQs work)

and y = ,  4y = 20, y =



 CHECKING our answer*** 

Using: 2x-3y=-19
