Question 83174: #20
Find an equation in slope-intercept form (where possible) for each line
through (8,-1) and (4,3)
this is what i have so far:
(3-(-1))/(4-8)= (4)/(-4)=-1
so slope is -1
y=mx+b
(8,-1) using
-1= -1(8)+b
-1=-8 +b
-1+8=b
7=b
y = -x+7
is this correct?
