Question 831046: The output of a function is 11 more than twice the input. What is the input when the output is 57?
Answer by JulietG(1812) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let P be the output (we don't use O because it looks too much like 0)
Let I be the input.
.
P = 2I + 11
The question gives you P.
57 = 2I + 11
Subtract 11 from each side
57 - 11 = 2I
Do the math
46 = 2I
Divide by 2
23 = I <<--
