Find the equation of the line through (2, 4) and (5, 7). Write the equation in standard form.

slope = [7-4]/[5-2] = 3/3=1
Form of the line is y=mx+b where y=4 when x=2 and where m=1
4=1*2+b
b=2
Equation:
y=x+2
-----------
Standard form is ax+by=c
x-y=-2
is the standard form of your line.
