Question 82562: please help with this one:
solve the system by any method possible:
x= (7/4)y + 7
4x-7g = 33

Answer by funmath(2933)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Are you sure that the g isn't supposed to be a y? If you're in a high school algebra class or introductory college math class it probably is. If it is:
:
solve the system by any method possible:
x= (7/4)y + 7
4x-7y = 33
Let x=(7/4)y+7 in the second equation and solve for y:

Because your y variable was eliminated and 28 does not = 33 there is no solution. Graphically, these would be represented by two parallel lines that never intersect to give a solution.
Happy Calculating!!!!
