Question 819966: I need some help finishing this problem. The instructions say to find the equation of a line that passes through (-4, 3)and that is parallel to 2x+3y=5. Here's what I have so far: 2x+3y=5
3y=5-2x
y=5/3-2/3x
y=-2/3x+5/3
m=2/3
y-3=-2/3(x-(-4))
I'm not sure what to do here. Do I simplify? How would I simplify it?
would i just distribute the two thirds? I don't know what to do after the distribution.
