Question 819843: what is y+2xy = 3 a linear equation?

Answer by Edwin McCravy(20055)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y+2xy = 3

This is NOT a linear equation. A linear equation
cannot have multiplied variables, variables in denominators,
variables under radicals, terms with greater degree than 1.

It's graph is

and you can see it is NOT a LINE and the first four letters
of "LINEAR" are "LINE". The graph of a linear equation is
a straight LINE.
