Question 807194: Please help me to write y=3/4x+2 in standard form.
I know that I need the x and Y variables on one side with the constant on the other like this: 2x+3y=4.
I tried doing: 3/4x+y=2. Is this correct? Can you help me write y=3/4x+2 in standard form.

Answer by richwmiller(17219)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
subtract y from both sides
0=3/4x-y+2
subtract 2 from both sides
-2=3/4x-y
rewrite
3/4x-y=-2
remove fractions
multiply by 4
3x-4y=-8
