Question 80687: how do i solve a linear equation given two points

Two points determines a straight line, which can be written in slope-intercept form y=mx+b.
To find the equation of that line, you must first find the slope "m" of the line, using the formula .

Next, there are two ways to find the equation. One method is called the "Point-slope formula" . The second method (which I recommend!) is to substitute the slope and one of x and y values of one of the points into the formula y=mx+b, and solve for b.
