x+3y=2
10y-5x=90
1 x + 3 y = 2 .............1
Total value
-5 x + 10 y = 90 .............2
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by -10
Multiply (2) by 3
-10 x -30 y = -20
-15 x + 30 y = 270
Add the two equations
-25 x = 250
/ -25
x = -10
plug value of x in (1)
1 x + 3 y = 2
-10 + 3 y = 2
3 y = 2 + 10
3 y = 12
y = 4
x=-10,y=4
