Question 802641: What is the order pair for 4x+3y=1 and 3x-2y=-12
Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3 x -2 y = -12 .............1
4 x + 3 y = 1 .............2
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by 3
Multiply (2) by 2
9 x -6 y = -36
8 x + 6 y = 2
Add the two equations
17 x = -34
/ 17
x = -2
plug value of x in (1)
3 x -2 y = -12
-6 -2 y = -12
-2 y = -12 + 6
-2 y = -6
y = 3
(-2,3)
