Question 794430: graph the equation using the point and the slope. y-6=-3(x+8)
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
graph the equation using the point and the slope. y-6=-3(x+8)
-------
point = (-8,-6)
slope = -3
-------
Plot the point::
slope = -3 means "y decreases 3 when increases 1".
-------
Put yor pencil point at (-8,-6);
Move the pp 1 to the right, to (-7,-6)
Move the pp 3 down to (-7,-9)
Plot the point (-7,-9)
Draw a line thru the two points.
