Question 79339: How do I go about finding the slope of of the line through the following pairs of points? (-5, -3) and (-5, 2)
I am guessing that the answer to the second one is -5/2..Am I right? Please explain, Thank You...
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
It's -5/0
Notice that the x-values are the same on the two points.
So the "change is x" is 0
---------
The line has an "undefined" slope or infinite slope.
It is a vertical line.
=========
You can see this if you plot the two points and draw a line thru them.
