Question 791127: Suppose f is a linear function such that f(2)= 4 and f(5)= 19. What is slope m of f?

I'm just learning how to find slope, have no idea how to find it with the numbers available here!
Answer by rothauserc(4718) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
we are given the following two points (2,4) and (5,19)
slope of the line = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
therefore we have
(19 - 4) / (5 -2) = 15 / 3 = 5
the slope of our line is 5
