Question 789348: Solve the system of linear equations-
3/2x - 1/3y= -18
3/4x + 2/9y= -9
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3/2x - 1/3y= -18
multiply by 6
9x-3y=-18*6
9x-2y=-108
3/4x + 2/9y= -9
Multiply by 36
27x+8y= 36*-9
9 x -2 y = -108 .............1
Total value
27 x + 8 y = -324 .............2
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by 4
Multiply (2) by 1
36 x -8 y = -432
27 x + 8 y = -324
Add the two equations
63 x = -756
/ 63
x = -12
plug value of x in (1)
9 x -2 y = -108
-108 -2 y = -108
-2 y = -108 + 108
-2 y = 0
y = 0
