Slope
46. Draw a line through (-2, 1) with slope 2/3, and draw a second line through (-2, 1) with slope - 3/2

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Draw a line through (-2, 1) with slope 2/3
Plot the point (-2,1)
If the slope is 2/3 that means "as x increases by 3 the y increases by 2"
So, from the point (-2,1) move your pencil 3 to the right; then from there
move it up 2. You should be at the point (-2+3,1+2)= (1,3)
Plot that point.
Now draw a line thru the two points (-2,1) and (1,3)
That is the graph you want.
================
and draw a second line through (-2, 1) with slope - 3/2
That slope means " as x increases by 2, y decreases by 3.
so you get a second point (-2+2,1-3) = (0,-2)
Plot the two points (-2,1) and (0,-2) .
Draw a line thru the two points.
that is the graph you want.
