Question 783557: I do not understand how to get the answer 92 with this question:
A student earned scores of 87, 81, and 88 on the first 3 of 4 tests. if the student wants an average of exactly 87, what score must be earned on the fourth test?
Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If the final average of 4 tests is to be 87, then the sum of all 4 tests must be 4 times 87. Add the scores of the first three tests, then subtract that result from the result of multiplying 4 times 87.
