Answer by rmromero(383)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

-4(7x+10)=3(9x-5)+20

To simplify this:
1. undo the parenthesis first. Use Distributive property
-4(7x+10)= 3(9x-5)+20
-4 (7x) + (-4)(10) = 3(9x) - 3 (5) + 20
-28x - 40 = 27x - 15 + 20
-28x - 27x - 40 = 27x - 27x + 5
-55x - 40 + 40 = 5 + 40
-55x = 45

If we are to find x just divide -55 both sides
45
x = ____
-55
9
= _____
-11
