Question 775887: What is the correct way to solve this system of equations?
x + y = 4
x - y = -7

Answer by oscargut(2103)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x + y = 4
x - y = -7
Adding the equations:
2x = -3
x = -3/2
Using (1)
-3/2 + y = 4
y = 4+3/2
y = 11/2
Answer: x = -3/2 and y = 11/2
