Question 773459: Find the slope and y-intercept of the line represented by the equation
y = 3x - 7. Explain fully. Make me understand please.

Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=3x-7
this is the equation in slope intercept form
the general equation in this form is y=mx+b
where m is the slope and b is the y intercept.
compare both the equations
3 is the m's place so slope m=3
-7 is the b's place so y intercept is -7
m=3, y intercept =-7
